Manchester United are back in the Champions League. After beating Leicester 2-0 on Sunday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side will be competing with Europe’s elite again after a one-year absence. With Ed Woodward now set to attack transfer business, Express Sport will now take a look at how the Red Devils could line up next season.
Goalkeeper: De Gea
Manchester United have Dean Henderson returning from his loan spell at Sheffield United, where he’s impressed for the past two years.
But, regardless, David De Gea is expected to remain the club’s No 1.
The Spain international endured an erratic Premier League campaign, making a series of costly errors, but still has Solskjaer’s backing.
He’s also United’s highest-earner and the club don’t want to jettison him, with De Gea one of their best performers in the years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
Therefore it’s likely Henderson will be loaned out and De Gea will stay between the sticks.

The Aston Villa star won’t come cheap, with Dean Smith’s side demanding big money for their captain.
But United want him regardless.

Attack: SANCHO, Martial, Rashford
Mason Greenwood did well for United, scoring 17 goals across all competitions in his first full season with the first team.
But, despite that, the Red Devils still want to land Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
The England international sparkled for Dortmund in the Bundesliga this term, scoring 17 goals and registering 17 assists.
While Dortmund want £120m to let him go, United are still confident he’ll be their player by the start of next term.
And, should that happen, he’d be deployed alongside Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in attack.
