How the four Man Utd players handed debuts by David Moyes have fared since

David Moyes may have only lasted ten months as manager of Manchester United, but that was still enough time for the Scotsman to hand out some debuts at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson's successor made only made two senior signings during his time in the United hotseat, but did provide opportunities to two youth team stars as well.

In total, Moyes gave just four players their Red Devils debut before he was unceremoniously sacked and replaced by Ryan Giggs, who took over in a caretaker role.

Daily Star Sport have taken a look at what happened to Moyes' fabulous foursome.

Marouane Fellaini

Belgian beanpole Marouane Fellaini was the first signing of the Moyes era, moving with the Scotsman from Everton to Old Trafford in a deal worth £27.5million.

The 6ft 6in giant failed to make an impact under Moyes but progressed into something of a cult hero under successors Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho.

Fellaini ended up making 177 appearances for United before moving onto pastures new with Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League in 2019.

  • Although Wilfried Zaha is credited by many to be Sir Alex Ferguson's final signing at Old Trafford, officially the winger was brought to the club by Moyes.

Unfortunately for Zaha, things never quite worked out for him at the Theatre of Dreams, with the £10million man eventually making four appearances for United.

The Ivory Coast international was loaned out to former club Crystal Palace and Cardiff before making a permanent return to Selhurst Park in 2015.

He has remained in south London ever since and continues to be one of the Premier League's most exciting attacking talents.

    Adnan Januzaj

Adnan Januzaj burst onto the scene in October 2013, scoring twice on his full debut for United as they came from behind to beat Sunderland 2-1 at the Stadium of Light.

That was about as good as things got for Januzaj, who made 63 appearances for the Red Devils without ever holding down a first-team place.

Now 26, the Belgian midfielder has reignited his career in Spain with Real Sociedad.

Juan Mata was briefly Manchester United's record signing when Moyes swooped to bring the loveable Spaniard across from Chelsea.

Despite a slow start to his Old Trafford career, Mata has grown to become one of United's most reliable players under a succession of managers and is set to be rewarded with a new one-year contract.

The 32-year-old midfielder has made over 250 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions, scoring 67 goals along the way.
