Jadon Sancho has been backed to reject transfer interest from Liverpool and Manchester City to join Manchester United instead. Former United defender Danny Higginbotham believes the Red Devils would be the right club for Sancho. A host of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Sancho after another fine season for the Borussia Dortmund winger in the Bundesliga.
Appearing on ESPN FC, Higginbotham was asked by presenter Dan Thomas what he would advise Sancho to do if current Premier League champions City and league leaders Liverpool made an approach to sign the England international.
“Would you or not say to him go to Manchester United whatever?” Thomas asked.
“Liverpool are on the phone, Manchester City want him back, whatever, you would say go to United?”
Higginbotham replied by insisting he thinks United would be the ideal destination for Sancho.

“I would, I would because I look at the development of the younger players at the club, I look at what [Ole Gunnar] Solskjaer is doing, so I don’t think there is any issue if he was to go there,” he said.
“There is a ready-made position for him and I think the way United play absolutely suits his style and the way that he wants to play, with the pace and the power going forward.
“The attraction obviously at United over the years has been the success and the manager who has been in charge as well.
“But I don’t think for one minute that if Manchester United wanted to sign Sancho that they couldn’t get him.

Chelsea are another club who are interested in Sancho.
European football expert Guillem Balague believes United are currently leading the race for him but doubts whether clubs, in the current financial climate, will want to pay a fee of over £100million for him.
“I think Manchester United are ahead of Chelsea to get Sancho because it does look like that plan they had to actually reinvigorate their side, get young players, develop them and get them better, seems to be, or was going at, a decent pace,” Balague said on his YouTube channel.

“Perhaps not as quick as many fans would like but certainly the plan continues, Solskjaer will be there next season, so it will be another opportunity for young players to come in and be given chances and minutes.
“In the case of Sancho he would go straight into the team of course.
“The problem for me is the fee, I think it’s too much money.”
