Jadon Sancho picks between Man Utd and Real Madrid as La Liga giants enter transfer race
Manchester United remains Jadon Sancho’s preferred destination despite Real Madrid joining the race for the Borussia Dortmund star, reports claim. The England international has been spectacular in the Bundesliga this season, scoring 14 goals and clocking up 15 assists. And he’s likely to leave the Westfalenstadion when the transfer window reopens.
Manchester United want to sign Sancho, with both Ed Woodward and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earmarking the Dortmund star as a priority transfer target.
But the Daily Star say Real Madrid are also determined to sign the 20-year-old when the summer window opens, with Los Blancos on the lookout for more firepower.
Real have struggled for goals this season, reverting to a more defensive style of play under Zinedine Zidane.
They sorely miss Cristiano Ronaldo and Eden Hazard has failed to sparkle since his blockbuster summer move from Chelsea.
However, while Real are now in the race to secure Sancho’s signature, his preference remains a move to United.

He previously rose up the ranks at Manchester City and was sold by Pep Guardiola in 2017.
Sancho would, though, relish the chance to make a name for himself in the Premier League and prove Guardiola wrong in the process.
He’s also excited by the prospect of playing alongside Marcus Rashford, who is a close friend of the Dortmund star.
And what happens remains to be seen.
Should Real attempt to hijack United’s pursuit of Sancho, it will be the latest clash between the two European heavyweights.

Sir Alex Ferguson was furious when they publicly unsettled Ronaldo in 2008, famously saying he wouldn’t sell ‘that mob a virus’.
And United chiefs were livid at Real for doing the same with David De Gea during the summer of 2015.
Fortunately for them, they ended up managing to keep hold of the Spain international – albeit with some assistance from a faulty fax machine.
But United won’t want Real to fight them on Sancho, who they’re willing to pay over £100m in order to sign.
Meanwhile, former Red Devils star Wes Brown has endorsed his old side’s pursuit of Sancho.
And he also wants to see Jack Grealish and James Maddison move to Old Trafford, with the duo impressing at Aston Villa and Leicester.
He told MUTV: “I would have all three! Any one of those three would be great,
“Jadon Sancho would probably be number one, but James Maddison looks fit and ready and determined and would also be a great asset for the club.
“Jack Grealish is an individual that gets things done, takes control of the game and has his own style.
“Any one of those three would be perfect I think.”
