Joe Willock will return to Arsenal this summer following his loan spell at Newcastle United. The midfielder has posted a farewell message to the Newcastle supporters on his Instagram account.
Willock had a stunning time at St James’ Park following his loan from the Emirates in January.
Willock scored eight goals in total, including scoring in each of his last seven Premier League appearances.
The 21-year-old became the youngest player in Premier League history to score in six consecutive matches when he netted in the 1-0 win at Sheffield United last Wednesday.
And he made it seven in seven with a fine solo goal in Sunday’s final day 2-0 victory at Fulham.

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce has not hidden his desire to keep Willock beyond this season.
But Willock has seemingly ended hopes of Magpies fans of the possibility of a permanent deal.
Accompanying a video of his time at the club, Willock wrote on his Instagram: “@nufc family Thank you for rocking with me. I will never forget the love you have showed me, the team, the fans, the city will always hold a special place in my heart #UTM (up the Maggies). Goodbye.”
Speaking about his future on Sunday, Willock hinted a decision had yet to be made.

He said: “We’ll see what the future holds. I’m blessed to have had the opportunity to play for this wonderful club and I’m happy it’s gone so well.”
Bruce said he hoped his club could test Arsenal with an offer this summer.
“Watching him play you can see a young player enjoying himself and enjoying the freedom that we’ve given to him, the licence to run forward,” Bruce said of Willock.
“He’s given us something which we certainly didn’t have before.
“He’s a very very good player. So I’ve said now for three or four weeks, we’d love to bring him back.
“He’s Arsenal’s player of course but let’s hope we can test their resolve.”
Speaking at his press conference on Friday, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta revealed his delight at Willock’s form.
And Arteta insisted the Gunners academy graduate would be returning to the club.
“I’m really happy that things have gone so well for him because of the potential that Joe has,” the Spaniard said.
“I think it was great for him to go away and have a different experience. He has grabbed that opportunity in a really remarkable and positive way.
“He will be back with us, we will have those conversations with him and plan the next years for him.”
