Jurgen Klopp's attentions are sure to be on the start of the Premier League this weekend but the Liverpool boss will still have his phone on for any transfer calls.
The Reds have made just one major signing this summer though continue to be linked with a number of new names.
Anfield chiefs have instead focuses on tying down some star players to longer contracts, including Alisson and Fabinho.
Liverpool get their season underway against Norwich on Saturday evening before hosting Burnley next weekend.
They may just have a new face through the door by then with Daily Star Sport rounding up the best of the transfer news.
'New Salah' eyed
Liverpool continue to hunt West Ham star Jarrod Bowen, with some calling the winger the 'new Mohamed Salah'.
It's claimed by the Athletic that Bowen ticks a lot of Jurgen Klopp's boxes and could replicate Salah's rise through the ranks.
James Pearce adds: "“Those players who aren’t absolutely world-class, but they believe that with Klopp, and with the structure at Liverpool, that they can elevate them to that kind of level.”
Reds legend Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool will make at least one more signing this summer.
“I think something will happen,” he said to the ECHO. “I’m not sure it will be exactly what people want in terms of it being an attacking player AND a midfield player, but it will be one of those.
“We have to remember where the club are at financially because of the pandemic, and they’ve also given a lot of new contracts out, which will be a massive outlay.
“I’d expect one more to come in. But there’s no doubt Liverpool have a large group of players that has to be chipped away at."

Klopp speaks out
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has defended his club's transfer policy, having brought in just one major signing in Ibrahima Kounate.
“The transfer market has been interesting,” Klopp told Norway’s TV2. “We have tried to extend contracts with key players, something we will continue to try.
"Some clubs have a different approach, which from the outside may be more exciting, but extending contracts with good players is a challenge in itself in today’s football.”
