Kai Havertz has broken his silence after joining Chelsea on a five-year contract.
The 21-year-old left the German national squad earlier today in order to complete his move to Stamford Bridge.
It has been a summer-long pursuit for the Blues, who beat the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich to his signature.
The midfielder becomes the sixth new player at Chelsea this summer after the arrivals of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr.
And the youngster could not hide his delight after making the move to west London.
He said: "I am very happy and proud to be here.
"For me it is a dream come true to play in a big club like Chelsea and I can’t wait to meet all the players and the trainers. Yeah, I am very happy to be here!"
Chelsea managed to whittle down his price from £90m to £63m, rising to £70m with add-ons.
It is a remarkable coup for Blues director Marina Granovskaia, who was over the moon to get a deal over the line.
She said: "Kai is one of the best players of his age in world football, so we are very happy that his future lies at Chelsea.
"He has proven pedigree in one of the best leagues in Europe, he plays for the German national side and he is an exciting, dynamic talent.
"We are delighted to be able to add his versatility and quality to the squad before the season begins."
After being released from international duty, Joachim Low all but gave away his impending move after stating that he was doing everything in his power to prevent a deal collapsing.
He said: “[We] didn’t want to take another risk that something could be endangered in this deal.
"There is the problem that if he has signed the contract and enters Switzerland, he may have to be in quarantine.

“We knew that the last details would be clarified today and tomorrow with his contract with Chelsea. The player was a bit torn.
"On the one hand, he wanted to join the national team. On the other hand, he absolutely wants to take this step.
“Of course, we also know about the importance and magnitude [of the move]. That is of course a huge story."
