Klopp overheard ranting about "breaking nose five times" in Liverpool protest

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp exclaimed he had broken his nose five times after Georginio Wijnaldum was adjudged to have fouled Atalanta midfielder Johan Mojica.

The Reds made it three wins from three in the Champions League on Tuesday night as they outclassed the Serie A side to win 5-0.

In the 60th minute, Wijnaldum shielded the ball from Mojica on the halfway line and extended his left arm into the face of the Colombian footballer.

Mojica fell backwards dramatically, holding his face and rolling on the floor.

Wijnaldum escaped without a booking from the referee but with no crowd in the stands, Klopp was overheard slamming the decision to award a foul.

He said: "Are you serious!? I broke my nose five times, it was not one time a foul."

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Alisson has hailed hat-trick hero Jota after his treble against Atalanta.

He said: "Jota is a great guy and a great player. He is here to contribute as everybody is, like Bobby, Mo and Sadio.

"We are a team and we are not a team of one player, but we have many players who come in and give the response that we need.

"I’m really happy for him – he got the hat-trick and he deserved it because he worked hard on the pitch and we helped him a lot with movements.

"Not only the guys who scored but we made a good job with movements creating the spaces and the passing was good – and obviously his quality in front of goal, we can’t deny it."
