Leaked Amazon footage shows Jose Mourinho telling Spurs to be 'a bunch of c***s'

Amazon Prime’s upcoming documentary on Tottenham Hotspur looks set to be must-see viewing, with leaked footage showing Jose Mourinho telling his players to play like ‘a bunch of c***s’.

The ‘All or Nothing’ series is set to be released next month, with Amazon’s cameras granted incredible behind-the-scenes access during one of the most turbulent periods of Spurs’ recent history.

Starting with Tottenham’s woeful start to the season, the documentary charts Mauricio Pochettino’s downfall at the club and the decision to replace him with Mourinho.

There are a host of dramatic moments from the season that the documentary has captured, including Pochettino saying his goodbyes, the fallout of the 7-2 loss to Bayern Munich and Hugo Lloris’ tussle with Son Heung-min – among many others.

But perhaps the most interesting insight will come in the form of being able to see Mourinho’s management style first hand – and the Amazon series looks like it will not disappoint.

In leaked footage on social media, a clip shows Mourinho giving one of his first speeches to the squad he has inherited and telling them they are too nice, instead urging them to show their nasty side in an expletive-laden plea.

‘You need to communicate,’ Mourinho says in the team meeting. ‘And maybe I’m wrong – maybe I’m wrong – I feel that you are honestly a very nice group of guys.

‘But for 90 minutes – for 90 minutes – you cannot be nice. For 90 minutes you have to be a bunch of c***s.

‘Intelligent c***s. Not stupid c***s. B******s in the sense that you are there to win matches, man.’

The Spurs squad largely looked rather unimpressed by the speech – particularly Christian Eriksen, who had yet to complete his move to Inter Milan – though backup goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman can be seen chuckling.

Amazon released a trailer for the upcoming documentary last month, with Daniel Levy saying of the decision to bring in Mourinho: ‘We have to do what we feel is right for the club and only time will tell if it’s the right decision.’
