Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa is preparing to make a bold selection call against Liverpool.
And it comes after a training match, that has left the Whites boss contemplating his striking options.
Bielsa splashed out a club-record fee on Rodrigo from Valencia after making the Spain international his top target this summer.
After forking out £27m on the striker, it was presumed that he would become first-choice ahead of Patrick Bamford.
But Football Insider report that this may not be the case after a specially-arranged friendly at Thorp Arch on Wednesday.
A team largely consisting of first-team players were matched up against the Under-23s as Bielsa prepares for the Premier League.
In that clash, it was Bamford that lined up for the main XI while Rodrigo led the line for the youngsters, Football Insider report.
It largely hints that Bielsa will be planning to omit the Spaniard from the starting XI on Saturday.
That will come as a shock to many Leeds fans, who would be hoping to see their new main man in action.
Bamford, on the other hand, came in for some heavy criticism last season after a number of glaring misses up front.
The ex-Middlesbrough striker netted 16 times in the Championship in the campaign just gone and has largely played in the second tier.
Bamford has played for four different teams in the Premier League but has scored just once across spells at Burnley, Crystal Palace, Norwich and Boro.
Bielsa was not giving anything away when he spoke about his match preparations ahead of a huge clash against Liverpool.
He did admit that Adam Forshaw would miss the match through injury.
United fans will no doubt be tuning in Saturday evening when they participate in their first top-tier clash since 2004.

Leeds won the Championship last season and have looked to bring in quality players in a bid to beat the drop.
As well as Rodrigo, Robin Koch has joined to bolster the backline at Elland Road after their attempts to bring back Ben White faltered.
The Whites are also looking to land Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese but a deal could cost as much as £37m.
