Lionel Messi fan could land £22k windfall from 450/1 bet thanks to Inter Miami
It isn't just Inter Miami fans that Lionel Messi is making happy as one fan of the football superstar could be quids in because of him.
The ex-Barcelona legend has captured the globe upon his surprising move to the MLS in which he's made quite the impression, netting seven goals in his first four games for his new team.
While Miami fans have been blessed with the presence of Messi, there is one fan who stands to financially gain from the Argentine's brilliance.
The Twitter/X user Bradm1nBets could walk away with a whopping $28,000 (£22,000) off a 450-1 bet after placing a $63 (£50) wager on Messi wins the Leagues Cup and claims the MLS Golden Boot.

The fan took to social media to show off the latest update on his bet as he was offered $769.51 (£605.79) to cash out with Inter Miami currently in the last eight of the cup competition while the 36-year-old is yet to make his MLS debut.
The odds on Messi winning the tournament stood at 10/1 while ending up as top scorer of the league came in at 40/1 as fans urged the supporter to stand by his bet.

One person wrote: "Don't cash out yet", while another seemed gobsmacked at the lowly odds as they commented: "What, you’re telling me you could get 40/1 on Messi being top scorer in MLS, that’s crazy."
He's yet to make his MLS debut due to the introduction of the Leagues Cup where he's spearheaded Inter Miami into the quarter-finals following a penalty shoot-out victory against FC Dallas after drawing 4-4 in normal time.
Their cup run is even more surprising considering Miami are rock bottom of the Eastern Conference in the league with just five wins in 22 games with a league-high 14 defeats.
A cup win would spell a first piece of silverware in the club's history but the fan hoping to cash in five figures will need Messi to have a heroic second half of the season in order to win the golden boot.
With 12 games remaining, the seven-time Ballon d'Or will need to score over a goal a game to be level with Hany Mukhtar who leads the goal-scoring charts with 13 goals as well as needing the German to go through a goal drought.
