Barcelona star Lionel Messi is able to plan his future with the Argentine legally free to open negotiations.
Messi was close to leaving the Nou Camp in the summer though stayed following a disagreement over his contract.
The six-time Ballon d’Or winner believed a clause in his contract meant he could leave for free, though it was heavily disputed.
He is now into the final six months of his deal and Messi is able to speak to clubs outside of Spain over a move in the coming summer.
Manchester City and PSG are believed to be interested in Messi, who has spent his whole career with the La Liga giants.
A move to the Etihad would see the 33-year-old reunite with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola.
Should he head to the French capital, then Messi would again be on the same team as Brazil star Neymar with Mauricio Pochettino set to take over as PSG boss.
The current Barcelona ace has previously said he wants to play in the United States with a move to Inter Miami a possibility.

Reports suggested Messi has already bought a property in south Florida and could team up with David Beckham’s side.
Though clubs may find it hard to agree a deal with Messi hinting he will wait until the end of the season before making a decision.
"Nothing will be crystal clear before the end of the year. I'll wait until the season is over," he told Spanish TV station La Sexta recently.

"I'm not thinking about how the year will end. As of today, it wouldn't be wise for me to say what I'm going to do because I don't know."
