In addition to Beckham, many other sports figures were on hand to watch Messi and Miami defeat Charlotte FC 4-0 in the competition.

Baseball Hall of Famer and former Miami Marlins owner Derek Jeter was pictured speaking to Beckham prior to the match beginning.

Additionally, Beckham stopped for a photo op before the match to take a picture with Argentina’s World Cup winning manager Lionel Scaloni.

Messi scored the final goal in a 4-0 victory over Charlotte to seal the semifinal birth

Messi started the match and dazzled the crowd at DRV PNK Stadium by scoring a goal to help secure the victory.

It’s the eighth goal he’s scored since arriving to the United States – all racked up within five games.

His debut against Cruz Azul saw him score a fantastic free kick to win that match.

Messi followed that up with two braces against Atlanta United and then Orlando City in the Round of 32.

The Round of 16 may have been Messi’s best performance in the USA so far – with the Argentine scoring the first and fourth goals for his team, including a laser of a free kick, to force penalty kicks.

Finally, in these quarterfinals, Messi put away the game – scoring the fourth and final goal on the night.

Inter Miami will now face the Philadelphia Union in the semifinals.
