Liverpool have reportedly agreed a four-year deal with Bayern Munich midfielder Thiago Alcantara, with the Spaniard said to have already found a house in the area.
RMC Sport reporter Mohamed Bouhafsi is reporting that Thiago has told some of his team-mates that he will be joining Liverpool but it is up to the two clubs to finalise the move.
It comes after Bayern boss Hansi Flick confirmed Thiago's desire to leave and suggested he should join a Premier League side.
Speaking to German publication SportBild, Flick said: "As a person and as a footballer, I can understand Thiago. He wants a new challenge, which in my opinion should be the Premier League."
Former Premier League star Rio Ferdinand believes a move to Anfield would be perfect for Thiago, claiming he would shine under Jurgen Klopp.
"Great signing," Ferdinand told BT Sport. "He is a conductor, somebody who controls the tempo of the game, he’s got a wing mirror so he can see behind him, can see all angles, play every pass in the game.

"Intelligent player, he speaks the language which is an important part of it as well. He’d be a dream to have for someone like Liverpool. He’s the type of player they probably haven’t got.
"Does he walk into Liverpool’s team? They are a formidable team, you take someone out and you’re going to lose something, does he give you much more? He gives you something different."
Liverpool have already made one signing this summer, bringing in left-back Kostas Tsimikas from Olympiacos for £11.75m.
"I’m very happy, I’m very proud to be here. For me, [it’s] the biggest club in the world. It’s an honour to be here and I will give my best," Tsimikas told the club's official website.
“The league here, I like a lot. I watch it on the TV and it was always one dream I had from when I was a kid to come to play in this league and to come through."
