Liverpool complete winger transfer as new signing is pictured in Reds kit for first time

Liverpool have snapped up Mateusz Musialowski early in the summer transfer window as the 16-year-old joins fellow Polish youngster Fabian Mrozek in making the move to the Reds academy as they look to the future.

Reports claim Musialowski has cost Liverpool a six-figure fee.

The teenager operates mainy down the right flank and could be a long-term star for the Reds as they look to build for continued success int he future.

He is the second signing of the summer for the Premier League champions after Mrozek also joined the academy.

The goalkeeper joined from FC Wroclaw and both youngsters will be excited about their future at Anfield.

Despite signing two players already it is expected to be a quiet transfer window for Jurgen Klopp.

They have already missed out on Timo Werner who has joined Chelsea with Jadon Sancho preferring a move to Manchester United.

Klopp recently insisted he was completely happy with his squad and that the coronavirus pandemic would have an impact on the transfer window.

“I am happy with my squad 100%. I was last year when people wanted us to sign him and him but because of our reasons we did not do it,” said Klopp.

“It’s not that we don’t want to, we try to make the right decisions constantly and then COVID came. The situation changed and not for the better.

“It’s not that we think we cannot improve with transfers, we do what is right for us and what we are able to do, that’s all.

“If other teams invest I have no idea, they may know more about the future, I don’t know. But the main difference between us and other teams this year was consistency.

“You saw how tight the game was against Chelsea when we won 2-1 I think, but they are 25 points or so behind us.
