Jurgen Klopp remains keen to strengthen his squad before the transfer window shuts at the end of August, with just one new signing through the door this summer.
French defender Ibrahima Konate arrived from RB Leipzig at the start of the window as Liverpool look to improve on last season's third placed finish.
Midfield has been an area that the Reds have been linked with players to add to so far this window, with the likes of Nicolo Barella and Saul Niguez reportedly of interest to the club.
Players could also leave Anfield in the next few weeks, with Premier League rivals interested in both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi.
Bid being considered for Tchouameni
According to reports in Italy, Liverpool are considering a bid for Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Aurelien Tchouameni, who is also a target for Juventus.
The 21-year-old impressed for Monaco last term as they qualified for the Champions League in his first full season at the club after joining from Bordeaux in January 2020.
Tchouameni made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the process, catching the eye of a host of major European clubs.
It is believed that Monaco value him at around £25.5million and the Reds are thought to be seriously considering making a move with a bid worth that fee.
Southampton hoping to re-sign Oxlade-Chamberlain
Midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be set for a return to St. Mary's, 10 years after leaving the club as a teenager for Arsenal.
Now 27, he could depart Liverpool this summer with the club open to offers after he played just 13 times in the Premier League last season.
Southampton are believed to be eyeing a loan move for the England international, who scored nine times in 36 league appearances before his £15million move to Arsenal in 2011.
He then went on to join Liverpool in 2017 for £35million but has struggled for injuries in the last four seasons, missing a total of 74 matches due to injury in this time.
The player is thought to be open to the move in an attempt to reignite his career and work his way back into the fold for England.
West Ham enter talks for Origi
West Ham are looking to capitalise on the reduction in Divock Origi's asking price at Liverpool as they begin negotiations for the Belgian forward.
Despite signing a new deal as recently as 2019, Liverpool are open to offers worth £15million for the 26-year-old, a drop from the £20million valuation of the player in January.
Wolves had been linked with Origi during the winter transfer window but it is the Hammers who are now leading the hunt for the striker.
The drop in price has been brought on by Origi struggling for game time last season following the arrival of Diogo Jota at Anfield.
He scored just once in 17 appearances and started just twice in the Premier League, completing little over 500 minutes of football in all competitions.
