The Liverpool dressing room is "devastated" and struggling to sleep after learning Virgil van Dijk is facing months out injured.
That's according to his Liverpool team-mate Georginio Wijnaldum, who has called on the rest of the Reds squad to step up to the plate in Van Dijk's absence.
Holland international Van Dijk suffered a grade three ACL tear after a challenge from Everton keeper Jordan Pickford in this weekend's Merseyside derby.
Van Dijk will need surgery on his knee and could be out for as long as nine months.
Wijnaldum has opened up on the mood of the Liverpool dressing room since the news, and admitted that everyone is down in the dumps.
