Liverpool fans fearing the worst after spotting hidden message in Georginio Wijnaldum post
Georginio Wijnaldum has left some Liverpool fans fearful that he’s confirmed he won’t be returning next season in his latest post on social media. Wijnaldum has established himself as a key member of Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up over the years.
He wrote himself into Anfield folklore last year as his two goals sparked a remarkable comeback against Barcelona to reach the Champions League final.
Despite Klopp’s array of options in midfield, Wijnaldum was the most used midfielder over their Premier League title-winning season, making 47 appearances in all competitions.
But there is growing concern on Merseyside about his future at the club.
The 29-year-old has just one year left on his contract with terms yet to be agreed on a new deal.

With the summer break being shorter this time around, Klopp will want his squad finalised early in the transfer market so that he knows what he has available to him going forward.
Most Liverpool players will be going on a short holiday before returning to training at some point next month.
Wijnaldum took to social media to post his reflection on the title-winning campaign, writing: “What a ride this season’s been.
“From a great start to not knowing if we’d even finish the season to a very happy ending.
