Liverpool fans were left swooning over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s incredible pass in the Champions League win over Midtjylland.
The Reds saw off the European tournament debutants 2-0 at Anfield, with Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah finding the net.
And the English full-back was the creator of both of these chances, squaring for the new forward to slot in before winning the penalty for the Egyptian.
It saw the defender make amends for a difficult start to the 2020/21 campaign, suggesting he was “at odds” with Jurgen Klopp.
But footage has emerged of Alexander-Arnold only needing one touch to show he is back to his normal self.
In the clip, the Reds have a throw-in in their own half which the full-back has taken.
After a quick one-two with Xherdan Shaqiri, the ball bounces back towards the 22-year-old on the edge of the pitch.
Despite having two opposition players in front of him, Alexander-Arnold has already spotted fellow full-back Andy Robertson on the opposite wing.
And he fires a pass across the pitch with his first touch, curling it straight to the feet of the Scotsman.
This footage was shared on Reddit on Tuesday, where the Anfield faithful were blown away by Alexander-Arnold’s vision and passing.
“This is so satisfying to watch – his technique is absurd,” one supporter said.
Another commented: “I can only dream of what it would be like to kick a ball like him.”
While a third compared him to a club legend, with: “Between this and the [Steven] Gerrard-esque run into the box, Trent had a really good game.”
And a fourth added: “He does so many of these that I’m starting to not react to them because I just expect it. It’s ridiculous.”
A fifth made a big claim for Alexander-Arnold’s future, with: “You can’t train this. This is just raw talent, he’s going to go down as a Liverpool legend for sure.”
With a sixth simply writing: “Filthy – incredible performance.”
While the defender enjoyed a strong game against Midtjylland, Klopp was left raging on the touchline with his opposite number.
