Liverpool have a busy January transfer window ahead of them, with fans crying out for some investment.
The Reds have struggled with injuries so far this season, with Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez both set to miss the majority of the season.
The Premier League champions have struggled with the congested fixture schedule, and have been tipped to bring in a new centre-back in the winter window.
But in order to start spending, they might have to offload a few players to make room.
Who should Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards look to sell? Daily Star Sport has the run-down of who Liverpool should get rid of and who they should keep.
Alisson Becker : Liverpool should reject any bids that come in for Alisson Becker for the next few years at least. KEEP
Adrian : It might be worth getting rid for Liverpool. Adrian clearly isn’t good enough, hence the game time for Caoimhin Kelleher. If the right offer comes in then they should offload him. SELL
Caoimhin Kelleher : A valuable number two to Alisson Becker, and given his age he should definitely stay for quite some time. KEEP
Jurgen Klopp gives key reason why Jose Mourinho is still one of most successful managers
Virgil van Dijk : Much like with Alisson, Liverpool should never accept any bids for Virgil van Dijk and should instead be trying to get him to sign a new long-term contract. KEEP
Joe Gomez : Should also be given a new contract. KEEP
Kostas Tsimikas : Only just arrived and needs to be given time despite his struggles with injury/illness in his first few months at the club. KEEP
Andy Robertson : Probably the best left-back in the world. Under contract until 2025. KEEP
Joel Matip : Considering Liverpool’s injury woes, there’s no chance they should even consider selling Matip. KEEP
Rhys Williams : Likewise with Matip, it would be worth keeping Williams around – especially if they don’t sign anyone in January. KEEP
Nat Phillips : If Liverpool do sign a new centre-back then it might be potentially worth getting Phillips out on loan, if he has another few starts before January then his stock will be higher than ever. SELL
Trent Alexander-Arnold : Potentially the best right-back in the world, under contract until 2024 and it might be worth extending his current deal. KEEP
Sepp van den Berg : Would probably benefit from some game time elsewhere. LOAN BUT KEEP
Neco Williams : Looks like he has a lot of potential, definitely worth keeping him around. KEEP
Fabinho : Fabinho is incredibly valuable to the team, considering his ability to play in midfield or defence. KEEP
Georginio Wijnaldum : It doesn’t look like Georginio Wijnaldum will sign a new contract. Liverpool need to get a gauge of that as early as possible to avoid losing him for free. SELL
Thiago Alcantara : Only just arrived but he’s struggled so far due to injury and fitness issues. KEEP
James Milner : A veteran in the dressing room, it would definitely be worth keeping him around. KEEP
Naby Keita : Still hasn’t hit the ground running after joining the club in 2018, but given time he’ll prove his worth to the side. KEEP
Jordan Henderson : Club captain, serial trophy-lifter, no point in Liverpool even considering getting rid. KEEP
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain : If the right offer comes in it might be worth offloading him and using his wages to make one last hail-mary bid to keep Wijnaldum. SELL
Curtis Jones : It wouldn’t make any sense for Liverpool to sell Curtis Jones, he’s showing a lot of promise at the moment. KEEP
Xherdan Shaqiri : Many thought he’d be on his way in the last summer transfer window, but somehow he stayed put. Might be worth him now being on his way, however, as game time looks limited. SELL
Roberto Firmino : Has incredible value to the team, despite the arrival of Diogo Jota. KEEP
Sadio Mane : One of the best attackers in the world, Sadio Mane has been linked with Real Madrid in the past but they shouldn’t even consider selling, unless a certain Kylian Mbappe becomes available… KEEP
Mohamed Salah : Much like with Mane, it would only be viable to sell Mohamed Salah if they have a move for Mbappe lined up. KEEP
Takumi Minamino : It doesn’t seem like Takumi Minamino is quite good enough for Liverpool, and it might be worth offloading him. Maybe a loan for six months will help him regain some confidence. LOAN BUT KEEP
Diogo Jota : He’s been a revelation since joining the club in the summer. KEEP
Divock Origi : He might be a cult icon at Anfield, but it’s time for Liverpool to get rid. SELL
