Liverpool are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Wolves’ pacy winger Adama Traore this summer – and have been given an indication of how much it will cost to sign the Spain International.

Traore, 25, joined Wolves for £18million in August 2018, having had two failed spells at Aston Villa and Middlesbrough previously.

Traore was renowned for his quick feet at the Riverside, but equally as renowned for having no end product.

However, he instantly became a hit at Molineux due to his direct style, Olympian pace and unpredictability; fitting in perfectly to Nuno Espirito Santo’s right-wing slot as part of a counter-attacking team.

And after tweaking his game in the final third, his ability has attracted the interest of clubs high up in the league.

However, with Wolves struggling last season – albeit with Traore as a shining light – and with Nuno having left for Tottenham Hotspur, it remains to be seen if the winger is a part of Bruno Lage’s plans.

And according to a report by, Traore is on the radar of Jurgen Klopp – and a deal is certainly waiting to be struck.

The report claims that with Traore having made himself willingly available to leave Molineux after he rejected Wolves’ efforts to sign a new contract, Liverpool are ready to pounce.

Traore and team-mate Ruben Neves are both available at the right price – and Liverpool have been alerted to the Spaniard’s £40m price tag.

It remains to be seen if this price will lower, but it certainly hasn’t interested Liverpool, who baulked at the £40m fee.

The Reds have sold Harry Wilson on the right-flank for £12m, and are looking to sell Xherdan Shaqiri for a fee close to that.

Lyon are interested, and having accepted a bid for Maxwell Cornet from Burnley this morning, could replace him with the Swiss international.

With Mohamed Salah and Harvey Elliott also occupying the right-wing slot, Traore would likely only prove to be back up.

But should the price be negotiable, Elliott could be loaned out in a win-win situation.

Jurgen Klopp has, however, used Elliott in a midfield role as of late.

Liverpool start their campaign with a test at Norwich on Saturday evening.
