Liverpool transfer target Lucas Ocampos’ wife has dropped a major hint that the Sevilla star could move with her social media activity.

The Argentine has caught the Reds’ attention, with the club having space for a winger following the departure of Xherdan Shaqiri this week.

Having joined the La Liga side in 2019 and helping them win the Europa League that season, his contract until 2024 suggests a high price will be charged for the forward.

But Ocampos’ wife Majooh Barbeito may have hinted that the move is already on though her Instagram page.

In the bio, the Argentine’s partner has included the phrase “You’ll never walk alone” for her 149,000 followers.

This could be seen as a reference to the song of the same name by Gerry and the Pacemakers, which is regarded as an anthem by Liverpool fans played before every game at Anfield.

Ocampos started his career at River Plate before heading to Monaco in 2012, helping the secure promotion back to Ligue 1.

Two years later, though, he was poached by Marseille to score 28 goals in 135 appearances, helping them reach the 2017/18 Europa League final won by Atletico Madrid.

After a final season on south coast of France, the move to Sevilla came, where the winger is on 25 goals in 90 games for Sevilla.

A move, though, would contrast comments made by Jurgen Klopp about the club’s transfer plans for the rest of the summer transfer window.

In comments shared by The Athletic’s James Pearce on Tuesday, the manager said: “I'm a football fan as well and guilty of being attracted to a story about which team might sign which player.

“The difference is I don't have that ‘itch’ when it comes to us.”

Liverpool earned £9.5m from Shaqiri’s move to Lyon, having made just 10 starts for the first team in two years and scored just one goal last season.

And reports said that the move was completed so that teenage winger Harvey Elliott’s path to senior game time was clear, impressing in the win against Burnley.
