Man Utd: Solskjaer happy with ‘hunger’ in record win
Manchester United and Everton are among the teams to have made contact with Celtic wonderkid Vincent Angelini. The goalkeeper apparently wants to leave the Scottish champions in the near future.
United had a fairly quiet January transfer window, and opted against making any major signings.
Instead, they continued to follow their policy of targetting young players for the future, as Amad Diallo completed his move to Old Trafford after initially signing in the summer.
The young winger signed from Atalanta in a deal worth up to £37million in what was their only incoming transfer business of the month.
But now, they’re preparing to launch another move for a highly-rated youngster, with Angelini said to be eager to leave Celtic.

The goalkeeper is highly rated at Parkhead, having turned professional back in 2019.
At just 17, he’s made his way through the youth ranks and is on the brink of cracking into the senior set-up, though any game time is seemingly far away.
Regardless, he apparently has his sights set on a move away from Celtic Park.
Angelini is a non-EU citizen, despite being British. That’s because – according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb – he has an Italian father.
Celtic are said to be in talks with him over an extension to his contract, but those talks apparently aren’t going well.
His current deal will expire at the end of the season, reports suggest, and it has been claimed numerous teams are circling him.
Along with United and Everton, there are apparently three teams in Italy who are targeting him.
AC Milan, Atalanta and Lazio are all reportedly watching him, and reports in Italy suggest he would be interested in a return to his father’s country of birth.
Milan are expected to be on the hunt for a new goalkeeper come the end of the season, with Gianluigi Donnaruma set to depart on a free.
The 21-year-old – who has played 229 times for the senior side – is out of contract in the summer and has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
Talks with his agent, Mino Raiola, are said to have hit a standstill leading to Milan chiefs fearing the worst over the goalkeeper they nurtured from a young age.
While there’s no indication Angelini would immediately replace the Italy number one, his expected departure could provide a future path to the first-team.
