Man Utd fans demand ‘Glazers out’ after Cody Gakpo Liverpool transfer ‘shambles’

Manchester United fans have labelled the Glazer family “a shambles” after Liverpool managed to agree a deal with Cody Gakpo.

The PSV Eindhoven forward has been linked with a move to Erik ten Hag’s side since last summer. As well as enjoying an impressive World Cup that saw him notch three goals in five appearances for the Netherlands, he has also rattled home 13 goals and 17 assists in 24 appearances for the Dutch giants.

Unfortunately for United, Jurgen Klopp’s side appear to be the next beneficiaries of his talent, having agreed a £37million fee for the 23-year-old. And in the wake of one of their top targets seemingly being plucked from under their nose by their fiercest rivals, United fans have completely lost their temper.

"Why do Manchester United fans actively search for excuses for the Glazers. Absurd. Gakpo was a clear target. The board have failed again! Is the managerial cycle going to repeat itself again. Don't believe the PR spin. Shambles," one angry United fan wrote on social media.

"Man Utd showing why they are a shambles…..again. Gakpo to Liverpool in a matter of hours. Needed a striker and they get it done straight away. We will be linked with another 147 players and sign none of them," said another furious supporter. "Lol as if Liverpool have signed Gakpo. We are a shambles of a club," laughed one other supporter.

"How the f*** did Liverpool ended up signing Gakpo??? In just like one day or something?? Our transfer business has always been shambles. But the sooner the glazers are out, the sooner we can move on," another angry United supporter tweeted.

"Liverpool signed Gakpo in less than a minute. He has been in Ten Hag radar since the last summer. This is shambles." United were put up for sale by the Glazer family in November, to the delight of supporters.

However, they will likely have to be patient as the purchase of the club will not be a fast process. The Red Devils’ recommence their Premier League campaign at Old Trafford, where they will play host to Nottingham Forest.

Ten Hag’s side are currently in fifth position, four points behind fourth placed Tottenham Hotspur.
