Jesse Lingard's loan spell at West Ham is over, with the playmaker set to return to his parent club, Manchester United.
However, the flamboyant midfielder didn't leave without a fitting farewell to one Hammers fan, YouTube star JaackMaate – real name Jack Dean.
The 'Happy Hour' podcast host made a bet that if Lingard got eight Premier League goals during his loan spell, he would get the 28-year-old loanee's logo tattooed on himself.
Lingard agreed to do the inking himself, and followed through after bagging nine goals during his loan spell.
On Tuesday evening, Dean posted a series of images to his Twitter page displaying the tattoo, with one of Lingard holding the needle to his leg.
Dean wrote: "I'm a man of my word… and so is Jesse. Well played @JesseLingard"
Lingard is believed to be undecided on whether to return to Old Trafford at the end of his loan spell or stay in London.
The playmaker was unable to crack into the side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but seemed to be a man transformed after moving to West Ham.
Lingard bagged nine goals in 16 Premier League appearances, as well as five assists.
His form earned him a recall to the England squad, and played a huge role in his inclusion in Gareth Southgate's preliminary squad for the European championships.
West Ham are desperate to sign him permanently, and it's been suggested that United could offload him in order to raise funds.
And Gary Neville believes Lingard would be best off staying at the London Stadium and remaining their star player.
“I think Jesse now needs to play every week," he said. "He cannot go back to Manchester United’s bench from experiencing this.
“He’s a star there, so why not go there. I am sure West Ham will buy him for good money.”
