Barcelona could reportedly offer Donny van de Beek an escape route in the January transfer window – but the struggling La Liga outfit have three other options they’re also looking at. Ronald Koeman is under intense pressure this season to perform despite working under tough conditions at the Nou Camp.
This is the first season Barcelona are without talisman and superstar Lionel Messi, while finances were cut back in the summer with Antoine Griezmann also leaving.
They relied on the free agent market with the likes of Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero joining.
Luuk de Jong was also signed on loan from Sevilla to help replace Griezmann.
There was a downbeat mood around Barcelona from the fans heading into the new season, leaving Koeman in need of finding some way to turn the story around.

But poor results in the Champions League and La Liga have done little to dissipate the gloomy attitude around the club.
Koeman has been given the support of Joan Laporta to turn things around after the international break.
However, the Dutchman may not last long if results don’t improve with the potential of a replacement coming in before the January transfer window.
And it appears as though Barcelona have already started planning for what they want to do in the New Year.
Signing a central midfielder appears to be the top priority after missing out on Georginio Wijnaldum this past summer.
According to Spanish publication Sport, Van de Beek is among four options Barcelona are looking at.
The Manchester United ace worked with Koeman during their time together at international level with Holland.
Van de Beek had been pushing to leave Old Trafford in the summer after growing frustrated at a lack of minutes in his first season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t want to let him depart and Van de Beek ultimately stayed.
But his situation hasn’t improved with Van de Beek playing just six minutes of Premier League football so far.
Along with Van de Beek, Barcelona are also said to be looking at a move for Tottenham’s Tanguy Ndombele.
The report claims Ndombele was a target for Barcelona this past summer, but they would need Tottenham to drop their asking price.
Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie are also named as cheaper alternatives with both players becoming free agents at the end of the season.
