Manchester United bosses would be willing to sell Jadon Sancho on the cheap if it meant getting him out of the club.

Sancho has been suspended from the first team squad following a bust-up with United manager Erik ten Hag. Ten Hag axed the England winger ahead of the recent defeat at Arsenal and blamed Sancho’s poor attitude and training on the decision.

Sancho hit back on social media, denying the claims and accusing ten Hag of lying and making him a scapegoat. The troubled star has been told he would be welcomed back into the fold if he apologised to Ten Hag face-to-face.

But Sancho has refused to do this – and the stand-off between both parties continues. Sancho is training alone at the club's Carrington complex, and is facing a bleak future under ten Hag unless he shows some contrition.

And with no signs of Sancho backing down, it means United will look to cut their losses on someone who cost them £73m when he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2021. United would look to sell him to the highest bidder in the January transfer window, although his former club Dortmund have ruled out taking Sancho back.

Ten Hag, meanwhile, is set to receive a much-needed boost with the return to action of Raphael Varane and Mason Mount this weekend. The duo have spent several weeks on the sidelines injured. But Varane is expected to be back in Ten Hag's starting XI for the trip to Burnley on Saturday night, while Mount could also be included in the squad.
