Manchester United defender Alex Telles has hinted that his future remains at Old Trafford, despite being linked with a transfer after failing to displace Luke Shaw at left-back.
Telles made just nine Premier League appearances for the Red Devils after completing a £15million move from Porto last summer.
Shaw’s excellent form has limited the 28-year-old’s involvement. Telles made the majority of his 23 appearances during United’s run to the Europa League final.
He played 11 times in European competition, first in the Champions League group stages and then in the Europa League.
But the Brazilian was replaced by Shaw for both semi-final legs against Roma and then played just a minute of the final defeat by Villarreal. He was a last-minute substitute ahead of taking a penalty in the shootout.

Telles scored his attempt but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side were beaten due to Geronimo Rulli saving David De Gea’s spot-kick.
A lack of game time had prompted rumours that Telles might leave Old Trafford this summer after just a year at the club.
However, the former Inter Milan defender has suggested that he will fight for his place next term.
“Yes, I believe I’ve made the most of this season,” Telles told the club’s website.

“I’m really happy with my first season at United and I’m sure that next season will be even better.
“I think I always took the opportunity to do my best whenever I was on the pitch.
“I had good games, with the adaptation process the first season isn’t easy, but I believe that when Ole gave me the opportunity and placed his trust in me and put me on the pitch, I did my best.
“I’m sure that I’ll continue doing even better to spend more time on the pitch and get a lot more minutes.”
Telles made his debut in a 2-1 Champions League group stage win over Paris Saint-Germain.
However, he soon tested positive for coronavirus and missed the next four matches.
Shaw’s performances, which earned him a recall to the England squad this season, meant that Telles struggled to earn a place in the team once he recovered.
The left-back has targeted contribution more goals next season, having failed to open his account for the club during his first season.
That might hand him an edge of Shaw, given that the 25-year-old has just three goals in his career.
He added: “I think my best moment this season was definitely my debut against Paris in France. We won 2-1 in my first game.
“I really want to score my first goal, I can’t wait.
“I scored a lot of goals previously at Porto and now I’m really looking forward to playing and scoring my first goal.”
