Man Utd submit Varane bid and prepare Camavinga offer in £75m raid

Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a £75m double swoop for Raphael Varane and Eduardo Camavinga.

Both players are out of contract with their respective clubs next season, meaning they may be sold this summer in order to avoid them leaving for free.

According to Spanish outlet Marca, United have made a £50m bid for Varane and they are preparing a £25m offer for Camavinga.

The 18-year-old midfielder has also been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but the report states that it is United who are 'the first candidate' to secure the player's services this summer.

It is noted that both Madrid and PSG are still interested in Camavinga, but neither club is said to view him 'as a priority' at the moment.

United have already agreed a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund over the £73m signing of Jadon Sancho.

The transfer is set to be completed after the Euros, with Sancho involved for England.

United captain Harry Maguire is currently on international duty with Sancho and he believes the forward will be an "exciting" addition.

"Jadon’s a top player, an exceptional talent, a young lad with a lot of experience and his numbers speak for themselves with what he’s done over in Germany," Maguire said.

"He is a great player. I don’t think it’s a done deal yet, we can’t confirm him as a Manchester United player, I know it’s close but he’s still a Dortmund player as it stands.

"Of course, it is exciting times ahead and hopefully we will get it across the line."

The Red Devils have also re-signed goalkeeper Tom Heaton on a free transfer, with the 35-year-old returning to the club he spent 13 years at as a youngster.

"For me to have the opportunity to come back after spending 13 great years here as a kid, it’s an incredible feeling and I’m really, really excited to get started," Heaton said.

"I’m just seeing it as a fantastic opportunity as I still feel I’ve got an awful lot to give and I’ve got the bit between my teeth.

"I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running. I feel in great shape and I’m looking forward to coming in to compete with the other goalkeepers."
