Manchester United should consider offloading Paul Pogba because he "lacks the mentality and desire" when things get tough, claims Teddy Sheringham
The £89m signing has regularly been criticised throughout his United career.
Last summer he pushed for a move elsewhere with Real Madrid and Juventus touted as possible destinations.
United dug their heels in and retained Pogba's services but he has continued to make the headlines despite being injured for much of the season.
Sheringham, who was in United's treble winning side, doubts whether the Frenchman will "dig deep" when necessary and claims he gives off the "wrong vibes."
When asked by Graeme Souness on Sky Sports who the Red Devils need to rid off he said: "The big one for me is Pogba. There's been a lot of talk about him.
"When you mention top players captains, when things weren't going right in our time, Roy Keane would put things right, he would drive things on, dig deep, he would make sure he had a say in every game we played in, because of his desire.
"When you look at Paul Pogba, does he have the same mentality? Yes he might be a talented boy, but does he really dig deep, does he get United out of the mire when the going gets tough?
