Michael Keane’s brother Tom ‘set to replace’ Man Utd transfer chief Matt Judge

Tom Keane – the brother of Everton defender Michael Keane – is set to join Manchester United.

Keane, who currently works for legal firm Brandsmiths, is expected to join United on a consultancy basis. According to the Daily Mail, Keane is also expected to take on some of the responsibilities that will be left behind by outgoing chief transfer negotiator Matt Judge.

Judge is leaving United this summer after handing in his resignation, and he was responsible for the club's transfer negotiations. Keane could now play a major role in summer arrivals at Old Trafford as the Erik ten Hag era kicks into gear.

Brandsmiths website reads: "In sport, Tom has vast experience in the football industry where he has become a trusted advisor and representative for household name players, managers and pundits.

"His work for these clients includes negotiating high-value transfers, contracts and endorsement agreements."

Keane is also listed as a FA registered intermediary on the website of player agency New Era Global Sports.

It could be a busy summer at Old Trafford, with United looking to make some major signings to start off the Ten Hag era, after a disappointing sixth place finish last term.

United have been heavily linked to both Frenkie de Jong and Pau Torres, while Ajax winger Antony has also been touted with a move to the North West of England.
