Michelle Keegan stars in hometown club’s new kit launch in support for NHS

Michelle Keegan has teamed up with hometown club Stockport County to help raise money for the NHS.

The actress has starred in the National League outfit's new kit launch, with a donation being made for every shirt sold.

Stockport have also gifted sleeve sponsorship to the town's NHS Foundation Trust for the 2020-21 campaign.

Keegan, who is married to former TOWIE star and non-league footballer Mark Wright, provided the voiceover for the launch and gave her fee to the club's fundraising efforts.

The club have raised £89,000 since the start of the pandemic and have thanked Michelle, 33, for her contribution.

Stockport owner Mark Stott said: “We cannot thank our local NHS enough for their heroic work during these difficult times.

"As a community Club we will do everything we can to support our local healthcare and key workers.

"We would like to thank Michelle for supporting our efforts and look forward to welcoming her to Edgeley Park next season.”

Chief Executive of Stockport NHS Foundation Trust Louise Robson added: “Stockport County FC have been a huge source of support to us ever since the start of the Covid-19 public health emergency, and it’s wonderful to see that continue with the donations from their shirt sponsorship.

"We’re proud to see our logo on their shirts, and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at the club, and to Michelle Keegan too, for all they have done for us.”
