Newcastle vs Liverpool live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture on Amazon Prime

Newcastle United host Liverpool on Wednesday night, with both teams looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League. The Magpies haven’t won in their past three and were easily beaten by Manchester City last time out, leaving them in 14th place ahead of the midweek fixtures.

While they are well clear of the bottom three in terms of points, there remain accusations that the team is directionless and lacking in ambition in too many matches, leading to another meandering season without much hope of genuine progression.

Liverpool, meanwhile, gave up two points in sloppy fashion with a 1-1 home draw against West Brom after Christmas, with Jurgen Klopp far from happy at the performance or outcome. Despite the setback, the Reds remain three points clear at the top after Everton’s match against Manchester City was postponed on Monday night, and they have still lost just once this season.

There remains work for Jurgen Klopp’s team to do to hit top gear, though, as is evidenced by the fact they have won only two of their seven away games this term – with four matches ending in draws.
