Paul Pogba has joked that Manchester United's talisman Bruno Fernandes isn't perfect as he poked fun at his defensive skills.
The Portuguese star has become a leading light at Old Trafford following his move from Sporting Lisbon last January.
Fernandes has been credited with having a huge influence on and off the field.
Pogba is one of many players to benefit from playing alongside him and believes the two compliment each other well.
The Frenchman has been given more freedom with Fernandes taking over as the team's prime playmaker.
But the 27-year-old joked that whilst his team-mate is brilliant, he can't quite do everything.
“I enjoy playing with Bruno,” he told MUTV.
“He’s someone who understands the game and understands the movement that can give you a beautiful pass, he can finish too. He’s all over the place, he can do everything really… except defending!
“But really, it’s always a joy to play him, to understand him. He understands me as well, he can take my position, I can take his position as well.
"I think he suits the team, he’s a very dominant influence in our team.”
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has regularly maintained that Pogba and Fernandes can both playing in the same XI.
And former Red Devils star Paul Scholes who like to see them link up in midfield in a more aggressive line-up.
He told BT Sport : "Solskjaer likes the two sitting players, I don't think there's a need for both of them, they need to get Pogba in a linking role with Bruno, if they do, it frees up another position for a forward player.
"The awareness and cleverness they both have allows each other to link up.
"United's two cleverest players are Fernandes and Pogba so if you can get them close together, they'll score a lot and provide goals for others too."
