Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has enjoyed a superb start to Euro 2020 for Didier Deschamps' tournament front-runners France.
The Red Devils star, often lamented for his performances in a red shirt, looks rejuvenated every time he puts on a French jersey and plays alongside Chelsea fan-favourite N'Golo Kante.
The Pogba, Kante pivot has now gone 30 games unbeaten after Wednesday's draw with Portugal.
And football fans around the globe are rightly calling them the best double act at this year's championship.
So why don't United and their transfer gurus take heed of this revelation and alter their transfer plans this summer?
At present, a move for Jadon Sancho remains on the cards – and is very much a priority for those running the show at United.
Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane is also being eyed by those in power at Old Trafford.
And a £20m move for England set-piece specialist Kieran Tripper looks fathomable should Atletico lower their demands.
But those three additions, as welcomed as they may be in Manchester, would still mean Pogba playing wide of a midfield three and looking rather out of place.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer kept the faith with Fred and Scott McTominay in the middle of the park for the majority of last season.
Nemanja Matic enjoyed spells in the first-team, alongside benchwarmer Donny van de Beek.
But could United revive Pogba's second stint at United by signing a Kante-esque defensive midfielder that would suit his attacking qualities?

Declan Rice, a long-term target of Solskjaer's would fit the bill perfectly. As would his England co-star Kalvin Phillips.
Or how about Leicester's Wilfred Ndidi?
Even a trip abroad to try their luck with the likes of Federico Valverde of Real Madrid or Danilo Pereira of PSG would work.
Pogba's United future remains up in the air at present, however.
The ex-Juventus star has been linked with a return to Serie A, although a Real Madrid switch seems more likely.
Pogba has publicly stated his desire to leave United in the past, along with his agent Mino Raiola.
