Pitch invader miraculously evades 14 stewards as crowd cheers football fan on

A slippery pitch invader managed to miraculously evade 14 stewards as the crowd cheered the football fan on during their invasion.

Footage of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing the fan's daring attempt to get past security and enter the field of play at a match. The fan found themselves between two metal barriers and with a line of security staff between themselves and the pitch, sprinting up and down the walkway as they look for a gap between the stewards.

Having turned around after failing to find a gap, the fan spots a space between the stewards and makes their run for the pitch.

After hopping over the metal barrier, they are pursued by three stewards before flipping over the advertising hoardings and sprinting towards the centre circle.

Once the fan gets onto the pitch, the stewards give up with their attempts to stop them and choose not to chase them onto the pitch in pursuit. Social media users have been quick to comment on the footage, with one writing: "Moving like Messi with those feints."

Others have taken the chance to mock Manchester United's defence as well as winger Marcus Rashford, including one who commented: “Better than Rashford.”
