A thrilling 3-2 victory over AC Milan in their opening game currently sees them top of Group B, and boss Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for a similar result tonight.

As for Porto, they settled for a goalless draw at Atletico Madrid a fortnight ago, and have often struggled to beat Liverpool in their past encounters.

Sergio Conceicao insists Porto will try to target Liverpool’s weaknesses as they look to level up the imbalance they face on and off the field.

The last two meetings between the clubs have seen the Primeira Liga side concede 11 goals and score just one having lost the home legs 5-0 and 4-1.

Conceicao said while little had altered in Jurgen Klopp ‘s squad, his own side had undergone significant change.

There are no real surprises in that Liverpool team tonight.

Trent Alexander-Arnold didn’t travel with the squad to Portugal because of a groin injury, so James Milner fills in at right back.

Further forward, Diogo Jota has been handed a start against his former club, with Roberto Firmino on the bench.

Also among the substitutes is Naby Keita.

Starting XI: Alisson, Milner, Matip, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Jones, Henderson, Mane, Salah, Jota

Substitutes: Adrian, Kelleher, Konate, Keita, Firmino, Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Tsimikas Origi, Phillips, Williams
