Raheem Sterling looks back to his best as he weaved around the Luton Town defence to score a lovely goal on Friday evening.
Sterling, who earned plaudits for his performance last week, picked the ball up on the right wing before cutting inside. It didn't matter he was surrounded by several Hatters, as he ducked and dipped around the challenges.
And after finding himself with half an opening, Sterling curled the ball into the far corner – past the reaches of Thomas Kaminski. Chelsea fans were quick to compare the strike to 'prime Lionel Messi' – who loved dribbling around opponents before finding the net.
"Raheem Sterling has turned into Prime Lionel Messi so far this season," one fan said. While another added: "Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Neymar have all left Europe. But we still have Raheem Sterling!"

"Lionel Sterling, Raheem Messi. That’s the tweet. Running back some Eden Hazard vibes in there," a fifth said. And another added: "Lionel Andres Messi is the Argentinean Raheem Sterling!"

Sterling struggled for the Blues in his debut season, and speaking ahead of the season he blamed his poor diet for hamstring troubles which plagued his campaign.
However, Sterling has now predicated he's in for a good campaign – having changed his diet. Speaking ahead of the season, he said: "At the end of last season, I changed a bit of my diet and went to do something a bit different to what I have done before," he said. "I am eating a little bit less.
