Real Madrid will reportedly make a sensational £102million bid for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe, according to reports in Spain.

Mbappe has entered the final 12 months of his contract at the Ligue 1 club and is hesitant over agreeing fresh terms.

PSG have frequently failed to win the Champions League and that is believed to be an annoyance for Mbappe.

It is hoped that a huge summer overhaul, fronted by the incredible capture of Lionel Messi from Barcelona, will be enough to tempt the 22-year-old into signing a new deal.

However, he has long been linked with a move to Real and could finally complete a transfer this summer if the La Liga giants have their own way.

Spanish radio station Cadena Ser have reported that Los Blancos are preparing a huge £102m offer for the France international.

PSG find themselves in a difficult position this summer over Mbappe’s future.

They can either keep the starlet and hope that he finally agrees to remain beyond June 2022. It would mean losing for free a player who they paid a whopping £130m for just four years ago.

Or they can sell a prized asset and risk upsetting a fanbase who are highly anticipating a devastating front three of Mbappe, Messi and Neymar this season.

Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi used Messi’s presentation press conference to apply pressure on Mbappe to stay at the club.

“Everyone knows the future, he is a Paris Saint-Germain player,” he said.

“Kylian is very competitive, wants to win and has said publicly that he does not want to leave the team.

“There is no doubt or excuse to do anything else. He stays.”

The club’s players have delivered a similar message, claiming that there is now no better team to play for.

“Yes, I think so, he stays,” midfielder Angel Di Maria told ESPN.

“It is obvious that he is a player that all the teams want, but with the team that the PSG has now I don’t think he will leave. You won’t find a better team elsewhere.”

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has overseen a major overhaul of his squad this summer and will want to keep Mbappe among his ranks, particularly after completing his dream front three with the addition of legendary forward Messi.

The 34-year-old is one of several players to join the club after seeing their contracts expire at the previous clubs.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has signed from AC Milan and defender Sergio Ramos has arrived following a glittering 16-year spell at Real.

Former Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum has also signed to help PSG bounce back from being surprisingly pipped to the Ligue 1 title by Lille last term.
