Declan Rice's actions after scoring against Lyon on Thursday night have been branded "better than sex" by West Ham United fans.
The England midfielder found the bottom corner from the edge of the box on the stroke of half-time to put the Hammers two goals in front both on the night and overall in the tie. His goal came sandwiched in between strikes from Craig Dawson and Jarrod Bowen as David Moyes' side comfortably saw off their French opponents.
After scoring, Rice ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the travelling fans, kissing and pointing to the badge on his shirt as he did so.
Those celebrations from Rice were well received by Hammers fans, who flocked to social media to react to his passionate antics, with one tweeting: “Rice kissing the badge is what dreams are made of!”
Another added: “Declan Rice kissing the badge is better than any sex I’ve ever had. Don’t care.” Whilst a third wrote: “Declan Rice kissing the badge," followed by a love heart eyes emoji.
A fourth Hammers fan tweeted: “Just seen Rice kissing and pointing at the badge in celebration, I am fucking crying real tears COYI.”
Will West Ham United win the Europa League this season? Let us know in the comments section below.
Meanwhile, another supporter stated: “Rice isn't going anywhere for another 2 years so it makes sense why he is kissing that badge right now.”
Rice has been linked with a move away from the club this summer due to his impressive performances, with both Chelsea and Manchester United reportedly interested.
However, West Ham are determined to keep hold of their star man and have made it clear on several occasions that he is not for sale.
Rice has captained the club in the absence of Mark Noble this season and has now scored five times, including two in the Europa League.
His goal on Thursday came after Dawson had given the visitors the lead with a near post header before Bowen added a third shortly after half-time to seal a 4-1 aggregate victory.
The win sets up a semi-final clash with German side Eintracht Frankfurt, who knocked out Barcelona in the last eight, with the first leg scheduled to be played on April 28.
