Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri has heaped praise on Cristiano Ronaldo for the mental fortitude he always shows after he broke more records in his side's latest win.
The Portuguese star scored twice as the Bianconeri beat Lazio 2-1 in Turin to move a step closer to another Serie A title.
Ronaldo's brace means he became the first player ever to notch 50 times in the Premier League, La Liga and the Italian top flight.
He is also the quickest player ever to bring up his half century in Serie A, breaking the record previously held by Andriy Shevchenko.
And Sarri remains in awe of how Ronaldo always remains at peak condition – both physically and mentally.
"When Cristiano smells blood… He's extraordinary, as he recovers so quickly between games," he told Sky Sport Italia. "It's not just physical, but psychological.
"He could be someone who uses up so much energy in each game, but he recovers it every time and he's world class in the mind as well as the legs."
Juventus had previously come unstuck against Lazio this term with the team from the capital twice beating them 3-1.
Prior to the game at the Allianz Stadium Sarri's side were five point clear of Inter in second, but have now extended that gap to eight.
Speaking after the game Ronaldo was happy to have etched his name further into the record books, but maintained that that team's success was paramount.
"Records are always important, but the important thing is that the team wins," he said.
"We are a phenomenal team and we showed that again today, although we always want to improve and raise the bar.
"These things are nice, but the Capocannoniere title is a natural process that comes as a consequence of scoring to win games for the team."
