Ronaldo told he has ‘no shame’ after posting picture that isn’t what it seems

Cristiano Ronaldo 's cheeky social media upload was quickly rumbled by social media users – with his overhead kick attempt not going as well as he might have you believe.

The 37-year-old made his first official Al-Nassr appearance as captain in their win over Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League but couldn't find the target with Talisca scoring the only goal.

Ronaldo did have fans off their seats with a spectacular attempt at an overhead kick during the second-half of the fixture – but was left red faced after missing the ball completely and even hurt a rival player.

Ronaldo has since uploaded five snaps from the game on Instagram, including a professional shot of his effort, including the caption: "First game, first win – well done guys. Thanks to all the fans for incredible support."

One social media user wrote: "So Ronaldo hurt the guy with a failed overhead kick and still went ahead to post it? No way."

A second wrote: "Ronaldo is hilarious man. He has no shame."

A third agreed: "The audacity of this man."

Ronaldo played with a black eye following a clash with former team-mate Keylor Navas in their recent friendly clash with PSG, that ended as a nine-goal thriller.

The former Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United man scored twice to be named man of the match in the 5-4 loss after Lionel Messi had opened the scoring early on.

Ronaldo signed a two-year deal with Al Nassr earlier this month worth £172million per season, having slipped out of United's plans under Erik ten Hag.

Ronaldo has insisted that his time in Europe is done following his move to Saudi Arabia – and could be looking to retire in football having paid for a new house to be built.

Ronaldo is reportedly struggling to find a chef that meets his demands as he prepares for life after football in a £17million home on the Portuguese Riviera.
