Jadon Sancho's Dortmund teammate Thomas Meunier has compared the England star to PSG's Kylian Mbappe – labelling both "arrogant" in the way they play.
Sancho and his side got their new Bundesliga campaign off to a good start with a 3-0 win against Monchengladbach at the weekend, with the forward grabbing an assist in the victory.
The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Manchester United for the last few months, but with Dortmund seemingly unwilling to budge on their £108m valuation of the player a deal is looking unlikely before the transfer window shuts next month.
One man who knows a thing or two about Sancho is defender Meunier, and speaking to BVB TV he said there are definitely similarities between him and his ex-colleague Mbappe.
“Jadon is a bit sneaky," Meunier said. “He always wants to nutmeg you or dribble past you. It's a bit like a humiliation. He wants you to know that he's better than you.
“Mbappe is the same – they are a bit arrogant in the way they play. There are ways to stop them – you take the ball or take the man!”
Sancho has been joined by another hot young English prospect in Jude Bellingham, who made the move to Dortmund from Birmingham in July.
And speaking about the two players' attitudes off the pitch, Meunier added: “They're fantastic, not only as footballers, but as people.
“They're all conscious of the fact we have the quality to do something great. We all want to win titles, and everyone is going in the same directions. They can be 17 or 25 – it makes no difference.”
Sancho and Bellingham will have to be at their best when they take on Augsburg on Saturday followed by the German Supercup final against Champions League holders Bayern Munich.
