Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reckons Manchester United have got their X-factor back after they stuck four past Real Sociedad.
United hit all the right notes last night to put one foot in the Europa League last-16 with an on-song performance in their first leg tie.
Bruno Fernandes was in tune with two before Marcus Rashford and Dan James added to it as United put an off-key draw at West Brom at the weekend behind them.
Boss Solskjaer said: “We are a work in progress, it's about being consistent. We are learning and some games we have not been able to win lately.
“The little X-Factor we found tonight is coming back.
“It's about creating momentum, we have been through a difficult spell, we found ourselves a little bit tonight, thought the boys got that little bit of zip in their legs again.”
United have not been at their best in the Premier League with just one win in five ending their Premier League title challenge as rivals City opened up a 10-point gap.
Fernandes said: “We don't have to look at the results, we have to look at the performances.

“We know we don’t perform well in some games but still in some games we don't get the result we wanted and we perform well.
“We need to understand that we have to grow up and get better and better and the most important thing is the results, they give you confidence going into the next games.”
Fernandes' double took him to 21 goals for the season but he wants to fire United to trophies not just boost his stats with the Europa League and FA Cup their only real chance of silverware.
He said: “I feel good, most important for me will be the trophies at the end of the season, I prefer to not score any more goals from here and get the trophies.
“It’s not good enough for this club to be in competitions and not win them."
