Sport streakers and what happened to them next from UCL to boyfriend’s horror

Sport can set pulses racing. But sometimes even the thrill of an intense match isn’t enough for some.

They feel the need to invade the pitch with their assets on show to truly get that buzz. Before the swinging 1960s, ‘to streak’ meant ‘to go quickly, to rush, to run at full speed.’ With the emergence of sport and live TV, people have decided that the act would be served better if they did so without anything on at all.

Here we take a look at some of the most notable streakers in sports history, from a YouTube promotion to a furious boyfriend.

Kinsey Wolanski

During the Champions League final 2019 at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid, influencer Kinsey Wolanski invaded the pitch. Players from Tottenham and Liverpool watched on with dropped jaws as the now-25-year-old paraded before being apprehended by security.

After the incident, with news reports flashing her name, the Californian gained over two million Instagram followers. “I definitely wasn’t prepared for what was to follow that game,” Wolanski said to Names magazine. “But going into it I was excited to push things to the limit and see where it would go as I love living life to the fullest.”

Julia Rose

Julia Rose might not have technically invaded the pitch, but her act was so daring we thought we’d put on her in all the same. At the 2019 World Series, Rose and two accomplices, Lauren Summer and Kayla Lauren, made worldwide news after showing their bare breasts to the crowd at Nationals Park in Washington D.C.

In the age of social media, the three went viral. Her then-boyfriend Jake Paul revealed that she was suspended from all stadiums by Major League Baseball.

“During the game you violated the fan code of conduct by exposing yourself during the 7th inning, in order to promote a business,” he claimed letter read from MLB. “You were also part of a scheme in which you induced others to expose themselves to promote their business. You are hereby banned from all Major League Baseball stadiums and facilities, indefinitely.”

Melissa Johnson

In 1996, Melissa Johnson came onto the court at Wimbledon during the final between Richard Krajicek and MaliVai Washington. The then-23-year-old shocked – and stirred – onlookers as she had her breasts on show with just a white pinny covering her bottom half.

At the time Melissa revealed why she did, admitting: “I’m a naughty girl – and I've got a wild streak in me."I just said to the people I was working with, 'I'm going to do it, I am going to get my kit off."

Melissa had only just gained a design degree at Manchester Metropolitan University at the time, and felt the need to celebrate some way. The last people heard of her, she was working as a waitress.

Victoria Beugg

During a game between Everton and Chelsea in 1997, Victoria Beugg ran onto the pitch. In just her red knickers and no top, she pulled off cartwheels in front of the likes of Duncan Ferguson, while giving Dennis Wise a smooch.

No one has heard from her since the famous streak.

Javon Johanson

A streaker was tackled by a steward during a rugby league clash over the weekend. But the streaker’s partner was been left fuming at his other half, calling ‘a disgrace.’

Javon Johanson came on when the Gold Coast Titans and the Parramatta Eels were playing. She went down to her bra and stormed onto the pitch as footage of the moment went viral.

The boyfriend said on TikTok to the video: “"You’re an idiot and a disgrace. Thank you for an absolute embarrassment. Don’t try contact me."

Foxy

In 2018, fans of Dutch football club Rijnsburgse Boys paid an 'adult entertainer' to invade the pitch and disrupt their game. The tattooed blonde came onto the field with nothing on other than body paint and a flag in Rijnsburgse colours.

The performer, called ‘Foxy’, didn’t help matters as Rijnsburgse ended up getting smashed 6-2 by their rivals.
