Thibaut Courtois has taken a brutal swipe at Anthony Martial by insisting the Manchester United star is not a "major player".
Martial, who produced a disappointing return of seven goals in 36 games for United last season, missed out on a place in France's Euro 2020 squad due to injury.
The 25-year-old did not feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men from March onwards after suffering a hip injury and then rupturing his knee ligament, meaning Les Bleus boss Didier Deschamps decided not to call him up to his 26-man squad.
As part of a game he was playing with Belgium team-mate Jan Vertonghen, Courtois was asked to name three "major players" who didn't make it to Euro 2020 this summer.
The Red Devils goalkeeper only got former Real Madrid colleague Sergio Ramos before Vertonghen had to help him out and rattle off a list of stars.
Martial was on the former Tottenham defender's list, but Courtois was not having any of it and quickly interjected: "He's not a major player."

Belgium and France both endured miserable fortunes at Euro 2020, with Courtois and co suffering a 2-1 quarter-final defeat against Italy and the latter being dumped out on penalties by Switzerland in a shock last-16 upset.
Courtois admitted after their loss that Roberto Mancini's men, who are set to face England in Sunday's final after beating Spain on penalties in the last four, deserved to go through.
"This hits hard but we knew it was going to be a tough game," the Madrid shot-stopper said.
"We had two opportunities but their keeper made a good save and I think we gave the first goal away a bit to easily.
"It really could have gone either way, but Italy deserved to win here."

Martial, meanwhile, will have fiercer competition for a starting place at United next season after the club agreed a £73million deal to sign Jadon Sancho.
Sancho will officially complete his move from Borussia Dortmund once Sunday's final with England is complete.
