Harry Kane remains eager to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, and Thierry Henry believes he'll smash Alan Shearer's Premier League goalscoring record if he stays in England.
Kane is wanted by a host of teams around Europe, with Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea all interested, as well as Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The England captain has scored 166 goals in his Premier League career, and could realistically leapfrog Henry, Frank Lampard, Sergio Aguero and Andy Cole by the end of next season – provides he matches last season's tally of 22 goals.
And Henry believes that if Kane ends up staying put at Tottenham this summer, he'll eclipse the record currently held by Shearer, which stands at 260 goals.
Speaking to UMM, Henry explained that he ranks Kane as one of the best strikers in Premier League history.
He then indicated that he felt the Tottenham striker would be better off staying in the Premier League instead of moving abroad.
"Yes [he's one of the best natural finishers in Premier League history], I'll go with that.
"People thought he was going to be a one-season wonder, people said that early doors. Then he did that for two seasons, then everyone said 'let's do it for England'. Nobody can talk about that anymore.
"I said he'd smash Alan Shearer's record if he stays in England. He's that good.
"Now he has to do it, because the record of the big man is really high."
Tottenham remain adamant that Kane won't be sold this summer, and are likely to demand a lofty transfer fee to consider selling.
The striker reportedly believes he has a handshake agreement with chairman Daniel Levy allowing him to leave this summer.
But Spurs seem to currently be holding firm to their stance that only a blockbuster fee in the region of £120million would be enough for them to consider selling.
