Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi would be “very welcome” at Paris Saint-Germain next season, according to the French team’s boss Thomas Tuchel.
The Argentina international is reportedly looking for a way out of the Nou Camp after another year of disappointment saw them end the campaign without a trophy.
It had previously been unthinkable to talk about Messi not finishing his career with the Catalan side but a lot has happened at the club over the last few months.
The breaking point came last week as Barcelona suffered one of the worst defeats in their history, going down 8-2 in the Champions League to Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga champions lifted the trophy on Sunday evening for a sixth time after a hard fought 1-0 win over Tuchel’s PSG.
After the game, Tuchel was asked about strengthening the squad for next season to try and go one step better and win a maiden Champions League.
Asked whether or not PSG will try to sign Messi, the German boss replied: "He is very welcome! We lost lots of players for this campaign only and we lose now Thiago Silva and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
“We need to use the transfer window now to make the squad wider. The campaign will be very demanding without any breaks. We need to build a strong, strong squad.
"We decided not to talk about transfers in this period here. We will sit together in the next days. We have many things to do to keep the level of the squad.”
Asked about Messi again, Tuchel added: "What coach says no to Messi? I think Messi finishes his career in Barcelona. He is Mr Barcelona."
PSG looked to Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to fire them to glory against Bayern but both misfired in Lisbon.

The pair had chances, especially in the first half, but their finishing was not at its best.
Neymar and Mbappe will remain the big hopes for a club of huge ambition but bringing in Messi to play alongside them could be the final piece in the jigsaw.
It remains to be seen whether the six-time Ballon d’Or winner will attempt to push through a move away from Barcelona or he gives things another try under new boss Ronald Koeman.
