Thomas Tuchel made the most of Bayern Munich’s Champions League victory over Manchester United by celebrating into early hours of the morning with his partner.

The German giants cruised to victory at Old Trafford thanks to Kingsley Coman’s goal which ensured they remain unbeaten in the group stages of the competition since 2017, in a run stretching 40 games.

And, after the match – which saw Man United crash out of Europe altogether after a 1-0 defeat – Bayern’s players, staff and board celebrated in Manchester.

The post-match banquet, as it was described by German outlet BILD, took place in the ballroom of the luxurious Kimpton Clocktower hotel in the city.

The party – which coincided with the 76th birthday of Bayern vice-president Walter Mennekes – involved plenty of food and wine as Bayern enjoyed their win.

When the club’s chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen honoured Tuchel with a speech, the coach is believed to have jumped up from his chair and waved his white napkin in the air.

As the party began to come to a close, Dreesen and Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund – who were on the same table as Tuchel – left at 1:05am, the report claims, which led to the former Chelsea boss getting closer to his 36-year-old girlfriend, Natalie Guerreiro Max.

The Brazilian – who got together with Tuchel during his tenure at Stamford Bridge – had already been spotted in the stands at Old Trafford and was seen celebrating wildly when Coman put Bayern 1-0 up.

Guerreiro Max dazzled at the banquet as she wore a bright cocktail dress and as the event ventured into the early hours of the morning, she was joined on her table by Tuchel.

The German – who has two daughters with his ex-wife Sissi – sat intimately with his partner and kissed her on the cheek in what was the marketing and communications manager’s first appearance in the Bayern environment.

Tuchel only seemed to be interested in her for the rest of the evening and was seen kissing her again, before the pair departed at 1:57am.

They walked hand-in-hand to a black shuttle van which took them back to the the four star Hyatt Regency team hotel.

Tuchel’s departure came at a much later time than his players, with the likes of Leroy Sane leading the first round of players’ exits at around 12:10am.

The rest of the squad, including Harry Kane, Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer, had all left by 1am.

Tuchel was married to Sissi for 13 years, having tied the knot in 2009, before the pair split in 2022.

In the final days of his job at Chelsea, his private life became a dressing room hot topic – with Chelsea players discussing his failed marriage and his new younger girlfriend, according to reports.

The Mail on Sunday revealed in April last year that the couple had split with Sissi beginning divorce proceedings.

The presiding judge said the Munich hearing was held behind closed doors ‘because the highly personal area of life is touched on and the truthfulness of the statements is also disputed.’

German newspaper Bild report that Sissi, a former journalist for Suddeutsche Zeitung, received a call from England in which she was given the alleged reasons for his Chelsea sacking in September last year.

She was apparently told the Chelsea players had lost respect for the manager who led them to Champions League success in 2021. Mysterious ‘off-field reasons’ were also cited.

The reasons were put down in an email and Tuchel wanted to use a temporary injunction to prevent Sissi disclosing the content of the message, Bild said.

At the time, differences of opinion between Tuchel and the new Chelsea ownership led by Todd Boehly, as well as poor results on the pitch, were given as the reasons for his dismissal.

Bild said they were unable to publish the wording of some of the claims in the email for legal reasons and neither Tuchel, who didn’t attend the hearing, or his ex-wife, who did, wished to comment.
