Both Tottenham and Arsenal have been put on red alert after Fiorentina released a statement on Tuesday morning confirming star man Dusan Vlahovic has snubbed a new contract with the club.
The Serbian international has a plethora of potential suitors with Manchester City and Atletico Madrid also credited with an interest in the 21-year-old forward.
Vlahovic has started the season on fire, scoring six goals in eight matches for Fiorentina in all competitions.
Despite elongated discussions over a new deal at the Artemio Franchi Stadium, the Serbian striker has snubbed a new deal with a club statement from owner Rocco Commisso confirming the news:
"As you know, Fiorentina made a very significant offer to the player. Our proposal would have made him the highest-paid player in the history of the club," reads the club statement.
"We also improved our offer on a number of occasions in order to accommodate the requests of both Dusan and his entourage. However, despite our efforts, those offers have not been accepted.
"During my time in Florence over the past few weeks, I have personally endeavoured to find a solution that would make both the player and the club happy, but I am disappointed to say that our efforts and attempts have not been rewarded."
